Additional lighting
Additional lighting
Two problems can arise when large attachments are front mounted onto the UNIMOG. Firstly, they can partly or entirely conceal the standard or supplementary headlights. Secondly, in darkness, the illuminated gear can distract the driver or even blind him.
To provide the best possible illumination of the carriageway and the working area when working with front mounted attachments, for example, a snow plough, snow cutter or mower, additional headlights ought to be fitted either in front of the driver’s cabin or on the roof of the vehicle.
If fitted in front of the cab, the additional headlights are mounted immediately underneath the windscreen and serve as side lamps, indicators, full beam and dipped headlights. The working area can thus be illuminated without the driver being distracted by light reflected from the apparatus.
For rapid and simple roof mounting, a strong steel tube frame is fitted.
The following parts are mounted onto the roof rack:
- indicators and side-lights
|
- a bracket for the number plate

NB: When purchasing the vehicle, the UNIMOG must be prepared according to code numbers L 47 or L 49.
