SR 800

The SR 800 road repair patcher’s mode of operation - the patch system - makes it possible for one man to do what it previously took a whole gang to achieve.

First of all, the hot bituminous emulsion is applied to the area needing repair via a jet mounted on a boom, followed by the exact quantity of chippings needed.

The material is perfectly compacted and the edge made extremely resistant by the use of compressed air, with no need for any further compression. The surface is, as a rule, immediately ready to take traffic and offers the further advantage that it affords an excellent grip, thus minimising the risk of skidding, especially for road users on two wheels.

A diesel torch at the main jet, by which the damaged area can be heated, makes all-year-round deployment of the SR 800 possible, and by allowing repairs of the road surface to be taken early, minimises the amount of resultant damage. The driver operates all the controls from the driver’s cabin by means of two joysticks. The driver is thus afforded a good overall view of the damaged area and the work on it, but is not exposed to the dangers of traffic, dust and fumes or unpleasant weather conditions.

The patch system is mounted onto the chassis of any current truck either as a de-mountable or permanent installation.
