(Bussnang, CH) The Aebi Schmidt Holding (ASH), with its registered office in Bussnang (TG), generated a good result last year. ASH achieved a turnover of EUR 302 million (CHF 471 million). Aebi (Burgdorf) and Schmidt (St. Blasien) were successfully merged. NATO Meeting meets Schmidt safety

Security held top priority during the NATO meetings in Strasbourg, Kehl and Baden-Baden this April. Not only for the state guests arriving, but also the security of the Airports themselves. The Black Forest Airport Lahr is where the Aeroplanes of special guests including Ivo Sanader the Croatian Premier, Andrius Kubilius the Lithuanian Premier, Vaclav Klaus President of the Czech Republic and Michael Mullen Admiral of the USN landed. The Airport opted to use the Schmidt Towed Jet Sweeper for this event, Thomas Pollul Key Account Manager Airport Equipment explained that the Black Forest Airport in Lahr borrowed the demo unit from Schmidt in order to react immediately in case of snow fall, the towed jet sweeper however was not utilised to clear snow, since spring like temperatures have been prevailing at the longest runway in the South West.  more....

The road sweeping machine with the trendy name Swingo has been a hit since Schmidt Winterdienst und Kommunaltechnik (SWK) started production in 2002. In the context of a small celebration, the 2000^th Swingo was handed over on Tuesday in Hall 2 to a regular customer, the City of Merzig in Saarland, Germany. The Swingo is "the most comfortable road sweeper that the world has ever seen in the two cubic meter class", is how Holger Stehling, Managing Director, praised his product in his speech on Tuesday. The representatives from the City from Merzig /Saarland, at least, are highly satisfied with the Swingo. In Merzig, five Swingos already ensure the City is kept clean. A New Logo

The consolidation of the two traditional companies Aebi and Schmidt also calls for a clear identifiability of the new group on the market. For this reason, a new logo was developed for the group. Its purpose is to establish the image of the group as an umbrella brand.  more...
